Dr. Grant Booher received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and Bachelor of Science degrees in neurobiology and psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. During medical school, he was elected president of the Arnold P. Govern Gold Humanism Honor Society for exceptional and compassionate clinical care. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery. His current lab work involves the use of Connexin 43 blocking antibody to improve functional recovery following spinal cord injury in a mouse model. Through his research, Dr. Booher hopes to improve the therapies used to treat patients with spinal cord injuries.
